Match the cell assay to the question

Distinguish viability-related colorimetry, DNA-content analysis and cell visualization.

Match the cell assay to the question

Define the measurement first

The NutriCulture portfolio includes assays with different outputs. CVDK-8 uses WST-8 to generate a soluble formazan signal in cell-based assays. Cell Cycle Analysis Kit measures cellular DNA content. CrystalStain is used to visualize cells in applications such as colony, migration and invasion assays. Select the measurement before selecting the reagent.

For a viability-related colorimetric signal

CVDK-8 is supplied as a one-bottle reagent without premixing of components. Its product description links cellular reduction of WST-8 to the formation of a colored formazan product. Review the assay protocol for sample preparation and measurement conditions appropriate to the experiment.

For DNA content or cell visualization

Cell Cycle Analysis Kit is intended for cultured suspension or adherent cells. CrystalStain serves a different purpose: visualization of cells in the supported assay formats. A stained-cell image, a DNA-content measurement and a colorimetric viability-related signal should not be treated as interchangeable results.

Keep the workflow and readout aligned

Use the linked flyers to compare the formats, then open the relevant product documentation for the assay procedure. Record the product and catalog number with the analysis method so the result remains linked to the measurement that produced it.
