Choose the DNA marker for your fragment range

Compare 100bp-Green and 1kb-Blue, then connect amplification, sizing and visualization.

Choose the DNA marker for your fragment range

Begin with the expected fragment size

ClearBand DNA Marker 100bp-Green contains 12 bands spanning 100 bp to 3 kb. ClearBand DNA Marker 1kb-Blue contains 14 bands spanning 250 bp to 25 kb. Both are described as ready-to-load markers. Select the range around the fragments you expect to examine, rather than choosing a ladder only by its name.

Use the reference bands

The 100bp-Green flyer identifies stronger 500 bp and 1,500 bp bands. The 1kb-Blue flyer identifies stronger 1,000 bp and 3,000 bp bands. These landmarks help locate bands within the ladder pattern. Use the corresponding datasheet to identify the complete pattern and recommended gel conditions.

Connect amplification with visualization

EcoTaq 2X PCR Master Mix combines polymerase, dNTPs and buffer, and its catalog description includes a loading dye for direct loading after PCR. SAFE DNA Gel Stain is a separate nucleic-acid visualization reagent. Its flyer lists compatibility with blue LED detection and instruments used for ethidium-bromide-stained gels; check the current product instructions and your instrument settings.

Keep the documents distinct

Follow the catalog-linked datasheet when selecting or ordering the product. For stain handling and disposal, consult the applicable safety documentation and laboratory procedures rather than relying on a promotional summary.
