Choose a protein preparation route around your readout

Compare combined lysis and loading, concentrated sample buffer and subcellular fractionation.

Choose a protein preparation route around your readout

Three products, different purposes

ClearBand Lyse&Load combines RIPA Lysis Buffer and Laemmli Sample Buffer in one solution for preparation before SDS-PAGE. ClearBand 10x Laemmli Sample Buffer is a concentrated sample-preparation buffer. The Cytoplasmic & Nuclear Protein Fractionation Kit is designed for stepwise separation of cytoplasmic and nuclear extracts. These products answer different preparation needs.

For a combined workflow

Consider Lyse&Load when a combined lysis and loading-buffer format fits your SDS-PAGE workflow. If a lysate has already been prepared and you need a concentrated loading-buffer component, review the 10x Laemmli documentation. Do not transfer dilution or preparation instructions between these formats: their product protocols specify how each should be used.

When location is part of the question

If the research question concerns cytoplasmic and nuclear fractions, consult the fractionation kit documentation for supported cell or tissue samples and extraction procedures. The flyer lists downstream uses including SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, ELISA and immunoprecipitation. Assess compatibility with the particular assay you plan to run.

Record the preparation choice

Keep the sample type, preparation route and downstream analysis together in your records. The flyers provide a concise format comparison, while the linked datasheets contain the reagent-specific preparation and storage instructions.
