EcoTaq DNA Polymerase
EcoTaq DNA Polymerase is a purified recombinant enzyme for amplification of DNA templates up to 5 kb. It has 5′→3′ DNA polymerase and 5′→3′ exonuclease activity, but no 3′→5′ exonuclease activity. The elongation rate is 2 kb/min. PCR products are a mixture of blunt ends and single-base (A) 3′ overhangs and can be used for T/A cloning. The enzyme is supplied with 10× Reaction Buffer containing 15 mM MgCl₂. Applications include high-throughput PCR, routine PCR, T/A cloning and RT-PCR.
